Job Description: 

Selling and marketing fire resistant building products to homeowners and builders in your area. Any region within the United States in Canada.  No schedule obligations, purposely flexible with pre-existing shift-work. Potential for vertical growth opportunities. 

Salary: Commission-based 

Qualifications: 

Professional Firefighter (minimum Firefighter I/Firefighter II certifications) 

Must be able to complete monthly product, competitor, and target market education 

Experience with pre-fire planning and/or life safety inspections preferred 

Must not have been convicted of a felony or other crimes involving moral turpitude  

Must have computer and access to internet connection 

Tasks:  

Identifying and contacting builders and homeowners within your local area 

Sending out mailers (post-cards, brochures, etc.) 

Engaging and maintaining relationships with the customer base 

Educating target consumers about the importance of fire safety and fire-resistant building products, specifically in new residential construction where cost-effective yet highly flammable materials are being used 

Participating in fire safety PSAs on social media 

Filling out and submitting client orders for product 

Knowledge, Ability, Skills, and Other Characteristics: 

Knowledge of fire suppression principles, methods, techniques, and practices 

Knowledge of building construction and local building codes 

Ability to follow oral and written instructions, procedures, and guidelines 

Ability to ingest and comprehend information that is sometimes complex, and effectively communicate the pertinent information to target audiences on a level that is easily understood 

Ability to network and maintain relationships with builders, code inspectors, and homeowners 

Skill in responding to customer needs or complaints in an appropriate and prompt manner 

Basic skills with data entry and spreadsheets 

Working Conditions: 

Primarily work from home, no set schedule

Possibility of meeting with target consumers in person to discuss products  

Performs work with direction.

 May work with one or two other people in a region, may work with a larger group of people in an area.
